Our friends at Jersey Shore Women in Tech will be hosting a presentation by Cyber Security expert Barbara-Ann Fox on Tactics, Techniques, and Opportunities for Women in Technology.

About the Speaker:

Barbara-Ann is an information technology and information security leader with over 30 years of experience in product development, risk management, data center operations, and executive leadership. She is currently the Director of Product Management for Sensato, a cybersecurity company focused on critical infrastructure and healthcare.

Before joining Sensato Barbara-Ann was the CISO of St. John’s University as well as Vice President of Platform Engineering at Allscripts. Throughout her career, Barbara-Ann has worked with a variety of organizations, such as Microsoft, Loud Cloud, Netscape, and others, helping drive the design, development, and adoption of leading edge systems.

Barbara-Ann is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) with ISACA, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with ISC2, a Payment Card Industry Professional (PCI-P) with the Payment Card Industry, and is a volunteer member of the FBI InfraGard program, and the Association of Computing and Machinery.

Barbara-Ann is on the STEM Advisory Board for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. Together with other volunteers, they delivered a five-day cyber camp for rising middle school girls in July. For many years, Barbara-Ann has been working with programs like the Girls Scouts of Nassau County to provides educational support to programs that protect children online and promotes youth engagement in STEM programming.
